We are all facing so many issues today, from social to political and professional to personal, to mention just a few, but how many of us stand up to create awareness about those or raise our voice against any of those?
Are We Mere Spectators???
There could not have been a more stimulating and smouldering topic than this one, suggested by Meena Mishra, for her very first anthology as a publisher. I am indeed proud and privileged to part of this meaningful endeavour.
It has been the most enriching and exciting experience for me to compile and edit the work of these talented writers, from some very established literary greats to vibrant and energetic youngsters, some of them first timers, brimming with enthusiasm and ready to take the literary world by storm.
I am also happy that the poems, anecdotes and articles in my section of the anthology have a diverse range of issues, making it an eclectic mix of some immensely creative works that would shake us out of our slumber and urge us, not to be mere spectators but to do our bit and try and bring about change, wherever we can, in whatever way possible!
There is enough food for thought in all these write ups to set us thinking about the challenges we face in today’s times, from society’s hypocrite norms to environmental threats to dwindling values and deteriorating education system, to list just a few. Now it is up to us, whether we wish to continue to be mere spectators or take it upon us to become contributors in reshaping and remoulding the world so that we can leave behind the legacy of hope rather than that of despair for our future generations!
Let us not be mere spectators but let us be contributors in recreating a better world!
